My name is Carola Singer and I’m a mortgage associate with Verico Canada First Mortgage. I was born and raised outside of Baden-Baden in Germany and lived there until I married a Canadian Forces soldier and immigrated to Canada in 1993. Starting out in Cold Lake we finally made our roots in Okotoks after my husband took a position as a city firefighter. Coming from the Black Forest I fell in love with Kananaskis and the Rockies and I love to spend time there with my family when I’m free.
My journey in finance started back in Germany with a two-and-a-half year education program in finance working also for a bank as a financial consultant dealing in investing and lending for four years. After taking a break for a few years to start a family and building a business I am excited to be back in the mortgage business.
Having a mortgage myself I know about trying to get the best deal for my family and I am sure you don’t feel any different. With current financial markets, getting the right mortgage product and advice is crucial, whether you are purchasing or refinancing. Mortgage associates are needed more than ever to make sure people are properly educated, whether you are a first time home buyer or a seasoned homeowner.
Coming from a banking employment background I decided to go into mortgages with a brokerage because I love the idea of having 30 plus leading lenders at hand which gives you as a client that many more options.
